I’ve heard rumours of this being a bug and wanted to confirm. I’ve had several times where I’ve either shot a wolf with an arrow or struggled with one, and he runs away leaving a trail of blood. Freezing temps force me inside before I see where he went. When I come back outside, there is a healthy wolf on the same patrol route, and my number of wolf kills does not go up, so I assume the wolf magically healed due to the transition.
Is there any way to manage this? I don’t want to risk freezing to death while waiting for a wolf to die, but I’ve lost a number of arrows this way, and just now it’s putting my interloper run at risk (I’m trapped at the dam with two wolves and a moose blocking my way back to the lodge…I’ve gotten jumped by the wolves twice already and fought them off, but both reset when I went inside, so now my condition is dangerously low and they’re both out there still healthy).
Just wondering if anyone had noticed any patterns…is the animal more likely to die if you stay inside a long time vs short time? Any other suggestions?
I didn’t find the right solution from the Internet.
